Super Bowl is almost upon us and many low-carb lifestylers – especially the beginners – are worried that they won’t be able to enjoy the party goodies because there won’t be anything low-carb available.

Trust me – pizza when you are stressed out is NOT the answer if you are on a low-carb lifestyle. After 2 very stressful 12-hour days at work I was exhausted and didn’t even care what I ate, so we ordered pizza so I wouldn’t have to cook.
Note to self: Keep something in the house that can be thrown in the microwave or the oven so this doesn’t happen again.

I love my low carb lifestyle. I really am not a sweet-eater. So this is probably why going low-carb is easier for me that other weight loss options.
Why is it then – that almost the minute I know I can’t have sweets, I start wanting them?

It’s now 7 days into low-carb (starting again fresh in 2009) and I stepped on the scale with a bit of apprehension. I’m not a spring chicken any more and it’s getting harder and harder to lose the weight. It’s one of the 2 reasons I chose low-carb in the first place – the second reason is that of all the plans out there, this is the only one that scientifically & medically makes sense to me.
So, I step on and I am down a total of 3.2 pounds from when I woke up on New Years Day and got on the scale to start! Yippie!

I decided it was time as I’ve started low carb induction again on 01-Jan-2009.
I’ve done low carb since 1998 – off and on. I have to admit that it’s the best food plan for me – even if I do stray every once in awhile.
